In the dim and distant past, Arty Pumpkin, then known as Chrys Healy, studied Graphic Art at Camberwell College of Art. Having fulfilled her earning a living and childrearing responsibilities, she returned to her love of drawing, especially life drawing, and found a use for the letterpress wood printing blocks purchased many years ago. She continues to explore a range of mediums, combining words heard or read and images from scribbling people and places.
