This piece was a commission during lock down.

I am fascinated by Murmurations and have already used them as a basis for other work.
I wanted it to be light because the designated area received no sun and also to reflect the napped flint work on the surrounding building.
The overall design behind the birds is quite minimal, using a little subtle colour and cutting through the clay to represent vegetation and herbage.
Each tile is suspended on two rings and can swing a little in a slight breeze adding to the magic of the subject.
